I've been shaving my legs for years until my friend told me about laser hair removal. My legs are so smooth and the procedure was painless.
5 stars, thank you!!
WHAT THEY ARE SAYING
Do I really need a facial?
Our standard of care for facial regimens is more about the health and maintenance of your skin than it is about pampering. Regular facial treatments help stimulate your skin, reduce dead skin build up, increase circulation, and slow down premature aging. The treatments also help improve skin conditions such as alleviating acne, blotchiness, and rosacea as well as prevent wrinkles. Our licensed estheticians are certified and experienced with advanced treatment techniques to help you achieve a noticeable youthful radiance.
What types of skincare products are used during my facial?
At GLO MD Wellness, we believe in using advanced skin care products to deliver effective treatments to our clients. Our licensed estheticians use SkinCeuticals and Image Skincare products during the facial treatments. The products are medical grade skin care that are backed by science indicating to effectively treat skin concerns such as pigmentation, acne and wrinkles. Product ingredients typically used during the facials include Vitamin C, Hyaluronic, Stem Cell, Salicylic Acid, Glycolic, and more. Consult with our skincare specialist to find out which skin care products and ingredients can help you reveal your glow.
Why do I need anesthetician?
An esthetician is a licensed skin care specialist, and you would go to them for your skin the same reason you would go to a dentist for regular check-ups. Your skin is your largest organ, a barrier between you and the outside world, and you need to maintain it so it can protect you from all the harmful toxins that it encounters daily.
Our licensed estheticians are equipped with the knowledge, treatments, and technology for all your skincare questions and needs, both short term and long term. While our specialists will help address your skin concerns and provide you with improvements starting from your initial set of treatments, more long-term maintenance will be required to work gradually towards more progressive results for your skin.
Along the way, your skin will continue to rejuvenate and improve when coupled with at-home maintenance as prescribed by your GLO MD Wellness Spa esthetician.
What should I expect from my first facial?
Arrive early. Let your esthetician know about any allergies you may have and medicines, especially topicals, you're currently taking. Then you’ll be evaluated by your esthetician. They'll create a treatment plan based on your unique skin palette and sensitivity.
Once your skin is assessed, your esthetician will begin by removing all cosmetics and gently cleansing your face to reveal your skin at its most bare. An exfoliation process will remove dirt and dead skin, uncovering softer skin. During the cleansing and exfoliating, your skin will also be steamed to help soften the skin and open the pores. It will be followed by extractions, possibly a peel and treatment masks to replenish your rejuvenated dermis. A massage with natural ingredients such as arnica, coconut oil, and lavender is included during the masking to help you relax and allow your skin to calm down from the treatment.
Medical grade chemical peels are recommended to lift dead skin and enhance your results. At GLO MD Wellness, we offer a range of peels from light tiers such as lactic and glycolic up to strong tiers such as TCA and Beta peels. These medical grade peels help reveal brighter, healthier skin.
To finish off the treatment, a corrective or calming serum and a repair crème and/or sunscreen will be applied to provide a restorative coat for your skin. An eye serum and lip repair can be added to look more well rested and replenished.
Typically, facials are recommended monthly but will vary with skin conditions such as acne and compromised skin from post procedures. Each appointment time ranges between 45 minutes to 75 minutes depending on the type of treatment. Consult your esthetician at GLO MD Wellness Spa for the facial routine best suited for your individualized needs.
