Chemical Peel Treatment
Chemical peels are a great, non-invasive treatment designed to treat old, unhealthy skin and help rejuvenate your appearance! A chemical solution is applied on the skin and exfoliates the top layer of old, dull skin to reveal beautiful and glowing skin underneath. This new layer of skin is fresher and healthier than the old layer. Chemical peels also help treat fine lines and wrinkles, acne, scars and brown spots such as freckles, age spots or sun spots. If you want brighter, younger-looking skin, chemical peels might be the solution for you!

Dr. Diana prides herself on being well versed in the latest technologies and procedures. It is her complete commitment to her craft. Let's face it. Many doctors are able to perform a variety of injections and the like, but it takes a true master and an artist to perform these tasks brilliantly. Dr. Diana is a master of her craft. I am so grateful for the restoration of my Glo!!
What They Are Saying
What is a chemical peel?
A chemical peel is a rejuvenation procedure that removes the old skin on the face, neck, or hands and allows for new, smoother skin to grow in its place. When applied, the chemical solution exfoliates the skin and causes it to peel off. The regenerated skin is less wrinkled and softer.
What types of chemical peels are there?
There are three basic types of chemical peels:
Superficial peel, otherwise known as “the lunchtime peel,” where an alpha-hydroxy acid or other mild acid is used to penetrate the outer layer of skin and exfoliate it gently. Typically, this treatment is used to correct mild skin discoloration, softening rough skin, and refreshing the treated areas.
Medium peel is used to penetrate the outer and middle skin layers and dissolve damaged skin cells. This treatment is typically used to improve age spots, smooth fine lines, and wrinkles, remove freckling and acne scars, improve moderate skin discoloration, as well as smooth rough skin and treat some precancerous skin growths.
Deep peel penetrates the middle layer of skin, removing damaged skin cells, freckles, lines, age spots, hyper pigmentation, sun damage, and shallow scars. Treatment provides dramatic improvement to skin appearance, but due to the nature of the treatment, it can only be performed once.
Are chemical peels painful?
Despite the term “acid,” the chemical peel treatment is relatively painless. Clients may feel a sting from the skin removal process, but nothing beyond a slight discomfort. The acids applied to the skin are designed with natural and artificial ingredients to make the exfoliating sensation gentle. Of course, the severity of the peel may amplify irritation. At GLO MD Wellness Spa, our providers are there with you throughout the treatment to ensure your comfort.
How do I know if a chemical peel is right for me?
First, you need to determine what the chemical peel is for. Knowing the specific blemishes you want to reduce and what results you want from the procedure help your GLO MD Wellness Spa technician design a chemical peel plan that's right for you.
It's important to remember that a chemical peel is a process and not an instantaneous skincare miracle cure. The best approach is to begin with a gentle peel and work your way towards regular peeling. Consistency will yield sustained positive results. Under the supervision of our technicians, we'll create the optimal treatment regimen for your individualized skin needs.
